- Description
- This chapter focuses on promoting informal learning through appropriate exhibition curation and design strategies. It provides a model for differentiating between types of learning and suggests approaches that might optimise informal pedagogical opportunities. It uses the example of Draw the Line, a National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) exhibition, to explain the way in which spatial experiential learning, shaped by form and materiality, is a powerful design strategy. The chapter encourages curators and designers to consider educational strategies when they are developing an exhibition.
