Description: Aboriginal entrepreneurship and enterprise in Victoria is not new; one of the world's oldest known commercial hubs of farming, harvesting, 'manufacturing' in large scale production of a value added product that is then distributed in a standardised container/packaging, incorporating a supply chain and product marketing over thousands of kilometers is in fact located in western Victoria. Aboriginal participation in enterprise and entrepreneurial activity in a structured, orderly and industrious society dating back over 8,000 years can be found with the Gunditjmara people of western Victoria in their precolonial aquaculture and smoked eel industry, arguably one of the oldest recorded 'business' undertakings known to modern man.
