- Description
- In this study we examines the determinants of workforce attendance behavior of a large public service organization in Australia. We present evidence that both individual and organizational factors affect work attendance behavior. We argue that the “new labor market” induced by neoliberalism which is characterized by wide spread de-industrialization, job insecurity and the rise of part-time work or labor force casualization may explain to a large extent work attendance behaviors such as absenteeism.
