- Description
- The thesis emphasises the application of newly developed ordered core-shell mesoporous silica nanoparticles with tunable morphologies and textural parameters for the efficient delivery of chemo drugs to prostate cancer cells. It significantly contributes in two ways, 1) synthesised HP-shaped CSMS can be used in drug delivery applications with better cellular uptake and efficiency for prostate cancer treatment and may be employed in other therapeutic applications. 2) Using the attached stimuli-responsive system, CSMS facilitates an on-demand drug delivery at the target site and provides dual protection to prevent premature drug leakage by lipid coating.
